Sebastian, Thank you for the incredible book about the brave men of the 173rd. It gives me new insight into the experiences of those soldiers. I also send you my deepest condolences on losing your friend and collaborator, Tim. It is a dangerous business reporting on the worst that humans beings can throw at each other. I couldn't put the book down. Thank for also including the efforts of Chosen Company in the Waygal Valley, and the unthinkable catastrophes that nearly happened there. I guess the battles were catastrophes for the men killed at Ranch House, Aranus, and Wanat, and their families and friends. It makes me sad to know that sometimes our bravest citizens do not get the help that they need to transition out of the insanity of war and back into mainstream living. Shame on us as people and shame on the US Army for not treating our heroes like heroes - every time and every last one!
