I Have Cojones and I Rather Like Them
I've never been one to brag. But there are times when I want to shout out something done for someone who deserves it.
After watching RESTREPO screen around the county where Juan "Doc" Restrepo grew up, I decided to take the matter into my own hands. It's been bugging me that the film hasn't screened here yet. Rather disrespectful, I thought.
I placed a call to the Regal Entertainment Group HQ this week and asked them to bring the film home. The Regal HQ rep hemmed and hawed. I reminded him that Doc's family and friends live here and it would an honorary thing to do for a hometown young man who gave his life to keep this country safe. Again, the rep hemmed and hawed. Again, I persisted with bringing the film home for Doc's loved ones here.
A few minutes ago, the Regal Miami distributor called and said they were pleased to bring RESTREPO to the Sunrise, FL Regal Sawgrass Stadium on October 29. I sit here writing this in stunned amazement. This is what can happen if you take a shot in the dark. You might actually hit your target.
I nailed my target. Me and my cojones, that is.
These screenings are for "Doc".

Thanks Sebastian! Please let them know. I'd love to meet them at the screening one day or night if they are okay with that,.
It would also be great if you could come for Q&A. How much begging and pleading will it take? =)

The family was invited and attended a few screenings in the area, however it was in the summer. Katarina was key to getting it there. Can't remember the date, but I know it was there.
