what we do in life, echoes in eternity

Just finished the book. outstanding job! every subject covered in this book is in my opinion, right on! Esp about how the Korangal Valley plays with someones mind. Though I was not in Able, Battle, Chosen or Destined company's. I was in the battallions "first" Light Route Clearance Package (RCP) and went to the KOP usually twice a week and everytime, my ass was puckered from anticiaption of when an IED and the very distinct sounds of fully automatic AK series weapons were gonna ring out. The ACM in that country are ghost and the fastest men alive. Battle Company was the best suited to take the fight to the enemy and thats exactly what they did! I hated hearing that the valley was just abandoned after all the effort the ROCK and other dirty leg units put into it.

Hello!
I’m from Sebastian Junger’s publisher (Twelve Books). I worked on Sebastian’s book WAR, and this comment you made is quite nice. We all really appreciate comments like this, and we’ve been really heartened to see people in the military, and people with loved ones in the military, respond so strongly to the material.

I was wondering if we could include your quote as we do outreach to soldiers and military families. If you wouldn’t mind, could you kindly give us permission to use your quote? And, if you do give permission, how would you like your name and location to appear? We can identify you by your full name (or just your first name and an initial), location, and a description. For instance, “John S., Trenton NJ, soldier in the Korengal.”
Thank you! I hope to hear from you soon!
